🎵 History of Italian Dance Music

Italodisco originated in Italy in the 1980s, with synthesizers, drum machines, and catchy melodies. Artists like Fun Fun, Gazebo, Ryan Paris, Den Harrow, Baltimora, Ken Laszlo, Sabrina, Albert One, and Savage were key figures shaping these early electronic pop sounds.

Building on this, Italodance emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s with faster beats and energetic arrangements, bridging the gap between classic Italodisco and the pan-European Eurodance phenomenon of the 1990s.

Eurodance drew inspiration from these Italian genres, combining synthesizers, rap and vocal combinations, and high-energy beats. This genre became a global hit while maintaining strong ties to its Italodisco and Italodance roots.
