Hi my dear IDN friends.
After some investigations i found out how to open the idn stream with windows media player and so i am able to talk about my development:
a vista sidebar gadget which features a idn player with optional songinfo (if idn staff is going to allow this...)
the only negative aspect for now is that you will have to install a codec plugin for media player once...
if nothing bad happens the gadget will be useable at the end of this week (is still some artwork and code improvement to do...)
is anyone interested in listening to idn via sidebar gadget?
p.s.: i have to recheck if listening via corporate proxies is possible...
@ellen or other idn-staff running windows vista:
who wants to test my gadget when i'm finished?
EDIT: if ellen is going to share the infos about song request and/or chat functions i can try to add these functions to the gadget too...

Sounds great setchi!  there were some ideas of making it before but i dont had time so it is wonderful that you are making it now ofcourse you can pm me for any questions about testing or for info to build in any (extra) features

thank you for your feedback
today i found out the sources for the idn messenger's data (playing info, playlist, requesting) with some special tools (sorry ellen *gg*)
i decided to implement additional functions in a later version, because the parsing of the data is a little too complex for integrating into my gadget at the moment...
still working on it

Hi my dear friends 
I'd like to inform you that the first basic version of the gadget is finished.
DOWNLOAD NOW
Please give it a try and leave me some feedback
Use the info icon in the upper left corner for songinfo
Volume change is done with mouse scroll, muting with click on the speaker icon
World Icon brings you to the IDN-Website
IMPORTANT:
You MUST install the Orbis plugin to listen, because the Windows Media Player, which is used in background does not support the compression of IDN-stream by default.
Please open settings for details (wrench icon on the right side)
EDIT: Supports M$ Vista Sidebar only at the moment. You can send me links to other sidebars, maybe i can adapt it for these sidebars too if i have time

Hey McWaust,
In Windows Vista just double-click the .gadget file you downloaded.
then there will be just one question whether you want to install it or not
and don't forget to install the codec plugin from orban as described

What are you doing? *gg*
Download the .gadget file from my website and double-click it.
Then the Sidebar will ask if you want to install the gadget.
If this does not work for you i need following things to know:
Which browser are you using?
What is the version of your internet explorer?
What version of Windows Vista do you use? Build# ? SP1?

Hey McWaust,
I found out today that there was a problem with the mimetypes on my webserver and it tried to deliver the gadget as zip file with internet explorer.
please download again and select "open" - then the described sidebar installation dialog should pop up
sorry for the difficulties
